U.S. Speaker: Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins
Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins is the first African American woman to serve as the president of the League of Women Voters of the United States, where she focused on increasing voter participation, campaign finance reform and health care for underserved populations. Jefferson-Jenkins continues to be an advocate and activist for civil rights, social justice, educational excellence, and stronger citizen participation in the electoral process. She serves on numerous boards and advises community-based organizations, including the Board of the Women Ambassadors Program at Howard University and has contributed to numerous journals and books on election reform.

Raul “Danny” Vargas is a noted business and community leader, accomplished media commentator, and national political analyst. Vargas was the national chairman of a national political organization, was appointed by Congress to a commission studying the creation of an American Latino Museum within the Smithsonian Institution, and served on boards of non-profit groups. He regularly speaks at schools on the importance of education and perseverance. Additionally, he is a regular media commentator in English and Spanish, appearing on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Univision, Telemundo, PBS and many more.

Paul Sracic is the chair of the Department of Politics and International Relations at Youngstown State University. He is the author of several publications including, “Ohio Government and Politics,” and “San Antonio v.
